Man, health and nature. The Group has made ethical respect and social and environmental responsibility the key values of a company culture which will in the future increasingly steer the Bialetti way of thinking, designing and manufacturing. Choices of tangible commitment, which in the past had seen cooperation with AIRC, (Italian Association for Cancer Research), the Breast Cancer Association and a number of other associations in foreign countries. Indeed, it was precisely to support the work of these associations that Bialetti Industrie developed an exclusive range of coffee pots, small household appliances and cooking utensils.
Widespread, growing responsibility and commitment, which are also evident in an agreement that the Group has drawn up with Legambiente, creating a range of products to support campaigns for the protection of certain areas promoted by an Italian social and environmental association. In 2007, in addition to this, an agreement has been signed with Legambiente which commits Bialetti to reducing atmospheric emissions by recuperating aluminium during the manufacturing process and developing a metal collection campaign. The coherent and concrete actions undertaken by Bialetti have led to the introduction of new, eco-friendly coatings in the non-stick products which do not release PFOA emissions into the environment even during the manufacturing process.
The Group had also been an founder member of Symbola-Fondazione per le Qualità Italiane: an organisation whose aim is to consolidate and promote the “soft economy” by combining new technologies and tradition. For Bialetti Industrie, therefore, everything leads to the concept of quality enterprise and ethical and social responsibility. The fact that we have been awarded Ethical Certification in accordance with the SA8000 standard strongly confirms this. Action take to safeguard employees and their health are the most visible expressions of this. Our working methods comply with all safety standards and international UNI regulations.
